Paul Brinegar was an American actor, best known for his roles in Western television series. He was born on December 19, 1917 in Tucumcari, New Mexico and began his acting career in the 1950s.
Brinegar appeared in numerous Western TV shows throughout the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, including "Gunsmoke", "The Virginian", and "Rawhide". He is perhaps most well-known for his role as Wishbone, the cook on the long-running TV series "Rawhide", which starred Clint Eastwood.
In addition to his TV work, Brinegar also appeared in several films, including "Shane" and "The Undefeated". He was known for his rugged, cowboy persona and his distinctive beard.
Paul Brinegar passed away on March 27, 1995 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 77. He left behind a legacy of memorable performances in some of the most beloved Western TV shows of all time.
